Perfect for Dosa and Chilla – Just Needs a Little Getting Used To

This is my first experience using cast iron cookware and I must say, I’m impressed. The tawa feels solid and well-made. Initially, I had some sticking issues, but after a couple of uses and re-seasoning it lightly with oil, the surface became naturally nonstick. I’ve made dosas, chillas, and even omelets on it – all turned out great. Food doesn’t burn, and the heat retention is amazing. It does take a bit longer to heat up compared to nonstick pans, but it stays hot much longer, which helps save energy.Cleaning requires a bit more effort – I avoid using soap, just warm water and a soft brush, then dry it completely. Is cast iron non stick? Yes, when maintained properly, and Human Hydro’s product is top-notch for this price.

Good Tawa, Bit Heavy but Great Results

The quality is very good. It’s a bit on the heavier side, but that’s expected with cast iron. The pre-seasoning helps and I noticed it getting more nonstick with each use. Makes great chillas and omelets. Worth it if you want to move away from chemical coatings.
